The Water Bowl: Homemade Summer Treats

The end of the editorial in every single of Just Labs since (almost) the very beginning has read, “Toss your Lab a treat for me.” Well, here are a couple of new options, and both just in time for the summer, too. They might also make great holiday gifts for your Lab-loving friends, especially when paired with one of our cookie cutters, so make sure to hold onto this issue!

Frosty Peanut Butter Pupsicles

Use a baking mold or ice cube trays for a delicious, protein-packed treat your Lab will love. The quantity of treats you can make will depend on the size of the mold you are using. When choosing peanut butter, check the ingredients to avoid any that have sugar or artificial sweeteners.

Ingredients

• peanut butter

• non-sweetened yogurt

• water

Directions

1. Put 4 ounces of peanut butter in your liquid measuring cup (eyeballing a big glob is fine).

2. Add 3 ounces of water and 2 ounces of yogurt to reach 9 ounces.

3. If you have leftover yogurt and water mixture, add that and adjust accordingly.

4. Will it blend? Great. If not, add a little more water until you reach a pourable consistency.

5. Pour into the wells. If the batter is a little sloppy, you can use a spoon, add more water, and blend more, or just clean up the tray afterward. We won’t tell.
